All proceeds from Kings Hockey Camp 2000 will benefit the National Hockey League-sponsored Hockey Fights Cancer fund, the Los Angeles Kings and the Kings Care Foundation announced today. Kings Hockey Camp 2000, which began this Monday at the HealthSouth Training Center in El Segundo, culminates on Saturday with a fun game day.

Hockey Fights Cancer is a community initiative founded in December 1998 bythe National Hockey League and NHL Players Association, and is supported by NHL member clubs, NHL Alumni, the NHL Officials Association, Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers and Equipment Managers, corporate marketing partners and broadcast partners. It is a campaign that is not only aimed at raising funds for the American and Canadian Cancer societies, but it also works to raise general awareness about the disease itself. To date, more than $2.45 million has been raised throughout various local and national efforts.
