Unwiredtec, Inc. Releases Unwiredtec Sound Engine 1.1
Market Wire, 20050229
Unwiredtec Sound Engine is a one-of-a-kind software plugin which allows you to "preview" online ringtones in real time.
Unwiredtec Sound Engine is a plugin for a popular ringtone conversion processor and additional Unwiredtec product, "Ringtone Creator." Sound Engine is able to "play" any ringtone in MIDI, SMAF, or IMelody format, using WAVE samples contained in a DLS sound bank. After performing mixing and/or sound enhancements, it will then save the file in any of the WAVE, AU, MP3 or AMR formats. The plugin is able to process files in either of "one-at-a-time" or "batch mode."
"We are extremely proud that Unwiredtec Sound Engine is the very first software of its kind, and is therefore well-positioned to become the industry standard," says Max Kraynov, CEO of Unwiredtec, Inc. "We anticipate it will do for the ringtone market what WinAmp did to popularize the mp3 file format!"
Sergey Khenkin, VP of Product Development at Unwiredtec, Inc., is equally upbeat. "Prior to the release of Sound Engine, ringtone purchasers were forced to download melodies onto their phones before they could hear what they sounded like. To remedy this, ringtone vendors were compelled to convert hundreds or even thousands of ringtone melodies into mp3 files or even huge "wav" format files and upload them to a website, so that users could download and play them. Thanks to Unwiredtec Sound Engine, ringtone producers and vendors are now able to offer MP3, WAV, AU or AMR samples for online ringtone previews even faster than in real-time!"
The Unwiredtec Sound Engine plugin works seamlessly with the Ringtone Creator GUI Converter, the Java library, and a Web application. Users are able to modify various ringtone preview parameters, such as the length and quality of a particular melody. This protects ringtone vendors and producers from having their products copied and distributed illegally, as backward conversion is rendered impossible.
Unwiredtec Sound Engine, version 1.1 is distributed via internet download. A free demo is available at http://www.ringtonecreator.info.
