Japan to Host the World-Premier Release of Boyz II Men's New Studio Album

Pony Canyon of Japan's Fuji Sankei Communication Group, the entertainment leader in the world's second largest media market, will play host to the world-launch of Boyz II Men's forthcoming studio album, THROWBACK, Volume One.
"We decided to release our new Throwback Volume 1 album in Japan first -- because of all our fans around the world -- our Japanese fans have been unequivocally loyal. By releasing here first we are saying thank you for always being there for us," says Nathan Morris of Boyz II Men.
This unconventional deal was crafted-together by Taku Nagashima, President of 1st Concept Entertainment, Inc., (1CE) the exclusive Asia Territory licensee, in association Mataichiro Yamamoto, Japan's decorated movie Producer and President of Tristone Entertainment, Inc., and legendary music executive Mr. Osamu Sato, the President of Pony Canyon, Japan, who is thrilled about premiering the project in his territory.
According to Nate Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men, the THROWBACK, Volume One is their personal tribute to the songs and artists that influenced and shaped their artistry. The album contains revered interpretations of recordings by Al Green, Debarge, Isley Brothers, Stylistics, Michael Jackson, Hall & Oats and others.
As the undisputed "Kings of R&B" in Japan, it is appropriate Boyz II Men's THROWBACK, Volume One album premiers in Japan. The album is set to release during the first week of April, the first week of the new fiscal year for corporations in Japan.

Wright Entertainment Group, the exclusive management company for Boyz II Men, announced commitments for a summer concert tour in Asia in support of the new release.
The THROWBACK, Volume One Album is Boyz II Men's eighth release. They have sold in excess of 60 million albums worldwide over the past 12 years. Boyz ll Men have earned a host of global industry awards, including Grammys, American Music Awards, World Music Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and Soul Train Music Awards. The Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey duet ("One Sweet Day") is the longest running charted song ever. Fittingly, the group received the RIAA Century Award as the best-selling R&B Group of the entire Century.
