John Truscott Joins Ignited Minds as Vice President, Account Services

Continuing its impressive growth, Ignited Minds, a fully integrated ad agency in Marina del Rey, CA, announced the hire of John Truscott (45), former Managing Director of TBWA/Chiat/Day's Venice office as its new Vice President of Account Services.

In his new role, Truscott will lead the expanding Account Service team, guiding work for clients like Activision, The U.S. Army, Shark Energy Drink, Sony and Namco Hometek.

An Entrepreneurial and Agency Professional Track Record

Truscott joined TBWA/Chiat/Day in 1989 and for the next 10 years ran accounts like Taco Bell, managed the evolution of the Jack's Back campaign for Jack In The Box and oversaw the now legendary Energizer Bunny campaign.

In 1999, Truscott left TBWA/Chiat/Day to try his hand as an entrepreneur and helped manage a technology start-up in Palo Alto. This entrepreneurial pursuit continued with the launch of the Manhattan Beach Creamery -- a successful ice cream emporium that now retails and distributes premium ice cream to retailers like Bristol Farms. He will relinquish control of the company to his family when he begins working at Ignited Minds.

"The last five years have been exciting and I've had a lot of fun while gaining really valuable client side experience," said Truscott. "However, the itch to get back to agency life and the opportunity to help lead, what I view, to be one of the most exciting, young agencies around, was just too good to pass up," he finished.
