PCS Edventures! Expands Marketing and Distribution Relationship With Mega Bloks Inc.
Market Wire, March, 2005
PCS Edventures! (OTC BB: PCSV), a leader in the design, development and delivery of educational products, today announced that it has shipped its initial order of Brick Labs using its new partner, construction toy manufacturer Mega Bloks Inc., as the brick vendor. Building on its established relationship, the two companies are well into discussions that will involve directing co-branded PCS Brick Labs down various Mega Bloks distribution channels.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will co-develop a website in which merchandise customers have access to the PCS on-line curriculum, assessment, communication and collaboration site. PCS Edventures! recently sold an initial shipment of 10 PCS Brick Labs that leveraged Mega Bloks' system of bricks as the manipulative material.
"Mega Bloks is about 'Building Young Minds™,'" said Andrew Witkin, director of marketing, Mega Bloks Inc. "We are excited to be working with PCS, an educational leader and innovator, on the first shipments of the Brick Lab product as this relationship promises to substantially benefit students' learning in the long run."
The relationship will help broaden the reach of Mega Bloks to include educational, curriculum-based products that provide an immersive learning experience on a variety of school subjects such as math, science, architecture and communication.
"The adoption of Mega Bloks into PCS Brick Labs provides children around the world with an intuitive and user-friendly material in which to better learn basic engineering and science principles," said Robert O. Grover, executive vice president and CTO of PCS Edventures! "During our comparative tests, we were delighted to find the quality of Mega Bloks' brick products to be superior to any brick product available on the market. We eagerly look forward to the mass market and co-branding opportunities."
