Former Retek Exec Tom Redd Joins Khimetrics
Market Wire, May, 2005
Khimetrics, Inc., leader in customer demand solutions, announced the appointment of Thomas Redd as its Vice President - Business Development. Redd brings more than 24 years of experience in senior sales and marketing roles. He is responsible for all the company's strategic business development and alliance management.
Redd's career includes both domestic and international experience in sales, marketing and alliance operations with companies operating in the retail technology space. As vice president of global marketing for Retek, Inc., he was instrumental in re-positioning the company from a mid-market software vendor to a tier-one industry leader. His successful efforts culminated in the acquisition of Retek by Oracle. Just prior to joining Khimetrics, Redd was executive vice president of sales and marketing for Talkingpoint, a consumer interactive solutions company, where he was responsible for developing and integrating the sales, marketing and alliance operations within the company. He has served in similar leadership roles for Oracle, SAP Retail, Silvon Software and Reflexis.
"When a company grows as rapidly as Khimetrics has, it needs a skilled and seasoned management team to sustain and further propel its momentum. I am thrilled that we were able to find a world-class executive to help develop and maintain strong productive relationships with our business partners," said Brent Lippman, president and CEO of Khimetrics. "Tom brings the skill set we need to continue our progress. He clearly understands the retail industry, and we expect Tom to make a major contribution to Khimetrics as we continue to lead in the customer demand solutions space."
Redd said, "Khimetrics is in a great position for continued growth with the maturing of its products and the proven ability to deliver value to its customers. Now is the ideal time to grow and nurture strong relationships that add greater value for our customers and partners."
