NetScaler Delivers Centralized Management to Meet Demands of Rapidly Growing Enterprise Customer Base
Market Wire, May, 2005
INTEROPĀ® 2005, Booth 825 -- NetScaler, Inc., the global leader in accelerated application delivery systems, today announced NetScaler Command Center, a powerful new centralized management and monitoring solution for NetScaler's full line of application delivery systems. NetScaler Command Center's unified console, designed for a growing number of customers with large-scale NetScaler deployments, dramatically simplifies day-to-day management of hundreds of NetScaler systems, reducing operational expenses. Additionally, Command Center provides extensive real-time and historical views of the availability, performance, and security for enterprise-wide delivery of application data to users in any location. The solution will be unveiled at NetWorld Interop, Las Vegas, booth 825.
"The mainstream IT industry's rapid adoption of advanced application acceleration devices like those offered by NetScaler is driving the need for central management of a large number of devices," said Lynn Nye, president, APM Advisors. "Solutions such as NetScaler Command Center are not just 'nice to haves' but are increasingly differentiating offerings due to the challenge of managing complex application environments."
NetScaler Command Center will enable customers to significantly streamline the day-to-day operations through the following:
-- Manage Enterprise-wide Application Delivery: Manage an unlimited
number of NetScaler systems from a single, unified console.
-- Simplify Configuration Management: Automate management operations by
leveraging pre-defined or custom-built configuration tasks.
-- Speed System Configurations: Configure multiple NetScaler systems with
a single click.
-- Provide in-depth application traffic intelligence: Gather and
consolidate traffic statistics across up to hundreds of separate NetScaler
devices to enable detailed analysis of application performance across the
enterprise.
-- Global Health Management: Monitor and manage health of NetScaler
systems across the entire enterprise with a sophisticated event management
module.
"Not only are we seeing rapid growth in the number of NetScaler customers, as evidenced by our recent 500th customer milestone, but also in the size of NetScaler deployments. Our longstanding customers consider NetScaler systems a core component of their network infrastructures whenever they add new applications," said Raj Kanaya, vice president of product strategy and alliances, NetScaler. "At the same time, organizations need to streamline the management of their network while consolidating their data centers. These factors have been significant drivers for delivering the NetScaler Command Center."
Pricing and Availability
NetScaler Command Center will be sold separately. Pricing starts at $5,000 for management of up to 10 NetScaler application delivery systems. NetScaler Command Center will be available in Q3 2005.
