Horizon Performance Management Solution Achieves SAP Certified Integration
Market Wire, May, 2005
Tidal Software, a leading producer of application automation, integration and management software products, today announced at SAPPHIRE® '05 its Horizon(TM) performance management solution for SAP® has passed rigorous testing leading to SAP Certified Integration. Tidal Software, an SAP Software Partner, worked with the SAP Integration and Certification Center to develop integration for Horizon for SAP 1.5 with the SAP NetWeaver(TM) platform and the mySAP(TM) Business Suite family of business applications. SAP Certified Integration instills customer confidence that Horizon software works seamlessly with SAP solutions and minimizes risk of compatibility problems that may impact their IT and business operations.
Horizon is a performance and availability management solution that goes far beyond simple performance monitoring of SAP solutions to provide automated problem identification and analysis. Unlike competitive performance monitors, Horizon does not flood your console with data and assume you have the expertise and time to analyze it. Instead, Horizon provides an Expert-in-a-Box(TM) that performs the types of analysis and recommendations an experienced SAP Basis Administrator would, automatically, 24x7x365 and in real-time.
"Tidal Software currently has more than 50 enterprise customers in North America alone who use SAP solutions to power mission-critical aspects of their business and that count is increasing every quarter," said Stephen Kangas, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Alliances, Tidal Software. "These customers expect their solution vendors to work together to assure rich functionality, good integration and minimize their cost of ownership. Tidal Software is proud to be a SAP Software Partner and will work with SAP to deliver what those customers need. SAP Certified Integration is a visible example of that work and we will remain committed to tight integration with SAP NetWeaver, SAP R/3 Enterprise and the many important mySAP business applications."
SAP Certified Integration is awarded by SAP to independent software vendors (ISVs) for software products that have successfully completed a robust set of tests performed by SAP. In order to pass the test, the ISV's product must be designed to integrate and interoperate with certain SAP software technologies and application program interfaces (APIs). Horizon for SAP 1.5 was certified for integration via the External Alert and Monitoring Interface (BC-XAL) and is the second Tidal Software product to secure SAP certified integration. Tidal Enterprise Scheduler 5.0 obtained SAP certified integration in 2004 for job scheduling via the BC-XB and BW-SCH integration scenarios. Tidal Software intends for major releases of these products to be retested to maintain compliance with SAP integration requirements.
Today's announcement was made at SAPPHIRE '05, SAP's international customer conference being held May 17-19. Tidal Software is participating in SAPPHIRE in booth #315-A.
