Application Provider Matrix Systems & Solutions Joins eSP's Powered by Stay-Linked Program

Market Wire, June, 2005

eBusiness Solution Pros, Inc. (eSP), developers of the award-winning Stay-Linked(TM) terminal emulation and advanced terminal session management solution, announced today that Matrix Systems & Solutions Inc. has signed on to its Powered by Stay-Linked program and will integrate Stay-Linked into its packaging and lot control (PLC) software application. The company will private-label Stay-Linked as Matrix RFHostConnect(TM).

"Stay-Linked has revolutionized support and session management in our PLC product," said Dan Hare, vice president of Matrix Systems & Solutions (www.matrix-ssi.com), which includes Stay-Linked as the wireless terminal connectivity and centralized management component in all of its installations. "It adds tremendous value to our application by improving security, connectivity and remote terminal session control."

Now offering Stay-Linked as RFHostConnect, Matrix joins charter member Manhattan Associates as the second provider of WMS (warehouse management systems) type application software participating in eSP's Powered by Stay-Linked program.

"By participating in our Powered by Stay-Linked program, software application providers can seamlessly integrate our software with theirs, avoiding the need to develop and maintain their own solution for the highly specialized nature of wireless terminal emulation and advanced terminal session management," said Mike Pagani, eSP's vice-president of marketing. "Also, by private-labeling Stay-Linked as their own product, they can create their own branding opportunities, giving them an end-to-end, single-vendor solution for their customers that will generate incremental revenue without incremental development or support costs."

eSP's Stay-Linked provides centralized, secure and high-performance wireless access to 5250/3270 and VT100/220 host-based screen applications, with support for a wide range of wireless terminal devices from Symbol, Intermec, PSC, AML, HHP and other manufacturers. With Stay-Linked, unlike typical device-side Telnet client products, all terminal emulation and client device/session control runs natively on the application host system where the Telnet server resides, with only a thin-client software component loaded on each wireless terminal device.

The Stay-Linked server process creates and manages host-based Telnet client sessions that are remote-controlled wirelessly via the thin-client software running on the terminal device. The server software running on the host computer preserves user sessions when temporary disruptions in wireless device-to-host access occur; users are automatically returned to their original wireless session as soon as wireless access to the host is restored, and to exactly where they were prior to the disruption.

This unique host-based approach to Telnet emulation also allows for centralized session management at the help desk, which is provided with Stay-Linked's integrated Administrator GUI console. Centrally deployed IT staff can view, control and share remote user sessions in real time -- part of a valuable set of functionality eSP calls ATSM (Advanced Terminal Session Management).

Stay-Linked was the Search400.com/TechTarget Products of the Year Winner for 2003 in the PC/Windows Connectivity category.
