Gordon Eng Joins Brown, Winfield & Canzoneri -- Moves Entire Practice
Market Wire, July, 2005
Brown, Winfield & Canzoneri, Incorporated's ("BWC") real estate department's growth spurt continues as they add Gordon K. Eng, who brings his entire practice and roster of clients with him. Eng spent his first 15 years of practice at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, Sidley & Austin and as general counsel at a private investment management company with over $2 Billion in assets under management, and then established the Law Office of Gordon K. Eng in 1997.
"I was introduced to BWC by a business associate I had been working with at the Department of Real Estate. They came very highly recommended," Eng said. "Before I met BWC Shareholders Bill Pham, Steve Abram and Tony Canzoneri, I hadn't considered going back to a firm, but their real estate practice was so impressive, it became the smartest move to make," Eng added.
"Gordon is a great fit for our firm as we continue to become involved in new and exciting projects that require experienced and sophisticated transactional practitioners," Steve Abram, BWC managing officer said. "We are also thrilled that Gordon was able to bring his client base to BWC and, as our practice increasingly grows, we search for additional experienced real estate attorneys to join the firm."
Mr. Eng's practice includes real property and business acquisitions and sales, construction and commercial lending, asset management, commercial leasing, construction and development, financing and joint ventures, and experience in acquisitions, sales and management of hotel properties and resorts.
"Gordon is bright, rich in experience, responsive and produces the highest quality work for top-tier clients on complex deals," Tony Canzoneri, BWC's Chairman said. "Gordon's involvement reinforces our ability to be the firm of choice for real estate developers and investors."
Mr. Eng graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 1982 where he was Associate Editor, Fordham Law Review. He received his B.A. from Queens College in Political Science and Economics in 1979.
