Accellion Powers HP Smart Desktop Management Service to Serve the SME Market

Accellion, Inc., a leader in secure file transfer and data management solutions, today announced its technology for data backup and retrieval has been integrated into the Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) HP Business Protection Services portfolio.

As part of the HP Smart Desktop Management Service offering designed for small and mid-size businesses, Accellion Backup Recovery Services (BRS) technology automatically backs up and recovers data quickly and affordably.

Accellion's BRS technology provides a secure platform for keeping backup copies of files and documents at off-site locations. Data are transferred and stored using the latest encryption technology. Accellion's BRS can also be used for remote file and document restores via the Internet.
