Eldorado Computing & AMPS Form Alliance to Provide Savings & Efficiency for Out-of-Network Claims
Market Wire, August, 2005
Eldorado Computing, Inc. (ECI), a provider of health benefit management platforms, IT services and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services, announced today a partnership with Advanced Medical Pricing Solutions (AMPS), an independent aggregator of cost-containment services, to provide third-party administrators (TPAs) with combined administrative and medical cost savings on healthcare claims.
By using AMPS' EZ-OON system within ECI's proprietary HEALTHpac software, ECI's healthcare payer clients can utilize AMPS' repricing partners, fee negotiation services, and medical review for both in-network and out-of-network claims. Using an EDI engine jointly developed by the two companies, TPAs can process claims via ECI's HEALTHpac system and automatically submit out-of-network claims for repricing. Fees are based on a percent-of-savings.
The AMPS network and partners provide access to more than 100 major PPO networks around the country. In addition to the national secondary network access available automatically through AMPS, the EZ-OON technology can also be configured as the primary network for the HEALTHpac system.
CEO of Eldorado Computing, Zane Bell, says, "We are pleased to offer this health benefits management solution to healthcare payers to help them address both the administrative and medical costs associated with healthcare claims payment. Our clients will benefit from fully automated processing, reduced administrative costs, and lower out-of-network medical costs."
According to Jim Delaney, AMPS' COO, "The opportunity to eliminate manual processes and provide significant discounts is essential to all healthcare payers. This advanced technology solution for ECI's clients will dramatically improve their operational effectiveness and overall profitability."
