Intacct Introduces ERP On Demand for AppExchange at Dreamforce '05
Market Wire, September, 2005
Intacct Corporation, the leading provider of on-demand ERP, and salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), the global leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced the availability of ERP On Demand for AppExchange. Built on salesforce.com's Appforce on-demand platform, ERP On Demand for AppExchange is available immediately for preview in the AppExchange, and will be generally available at the same time as the Salesforce Winter '06 release. ERP On Demand introduces four new modules and six new tabs in the familiar salesforce.com user interface, to allow Salesforce users to generate accurate quotes, confirm pricing and availability, convert quotes to orders, create and distribute invoices, track fulfillment and book revenues. ERP On Demand for AppExchange is one of 70 launch applications that are available through AppExchange, salesforce.com's new on-demand application sharing service.
With AppExchange, salesforce.com customers now have access to new applications that bring the benefits of salesforce.com to their entire business, letting them manage and share all of their company information on-demand. Using AppExchange, companies can easily add new apps to their existing Salesforce deployments, extending their success and making the full power and creativity of the salesforce.com customer and partner community available with just a click.
ERP On Demand for AppExchange was announced today in San Francisco at Dreamforce '05, salesforce.com's third annual user and developer conference.
"We needed to reduce the cost and complexity of streamlining intricate workflows across sales and financial processes," said Brian Hassett, accounting manager at DHI Inc., the USA/Canada subsidiary of DHI Water and Environment of Denmark. "Not only did ERP On Demand for AppExchange provide the functionality we need, it is also seamlessly integrated with Salesforce, allowing our sales and accounting staff to share a single on-demand enterprise application, which increases productivity, reduces costs, and, ultimately, improves our profitability."
"The limitations of the client server integration model prevented companies from being able to choose the best tools for the job. The new model of Web services integration at the core of Appforce, and one click app installation available with the AppExchange, removes those barriers," said Adam Gross, Director of Product Marketing, salesforce.com. "Now, our customers can deploy best-of-breed ERP applications such as ERP On Demand from Intacct, fully integrated with a best-of-breed CRM like Salesforce, without a complex software integration project."
ERP On Demand for AppExchange is a suite of process-driven financial management applications specifically developed for salesforce.com's on-demand platform.
Order Management, which lets users create sales quotes, convert quotes to orders and track order statuses from the Opportunities tab, increases revenues through a faster sales cycle and reduces the average cost of sales.
Invoice Management, enabling users to generate, distribute and monitor invoices, collect payments and manage returns from the Accounts tab, improves cash performance and boost customer satisfaction with real-time fulfillment tracking.
Procurement Management associates requisitions, purchase orders, receipts and payments with Opportunities and Accounts for increased process efficiencies and reduced purchasing costs.
Expense Management strengthens corporate governance and provides greater financial insight by allowing companies to link expenses to specific Cases and Projects.
Salesforce.com customers can quickly add the business processes they need today by simply uploading preconfigured or customized Order Management, Invoice Management, Expense Management and Procurement Management.
"As the leading back-office building block, Intacct's ERP On Demand suite easily adapts to partner platforms, giving customers the freedom to tightly integrate the applications they need to succeed," said Robert J. Jurkowski, CEO and president of Intacct. "Salesforce.com's AppExchange benefits our joint customers, including DHI Inc., through closer process integration, lower operational costs and better customer service."
AppExchange is the world's first on-demand application sharing service.
