Easynet Deploys Ethernet-Over-Copper Solution From Actelis Networks for Business Broadband Services in the Netherlands
Market Wire, September, 2005
Easynet Netherlands, in partnership with Infradata, has installed the MetaLIGHT® platforms from Actelis Networks® to extend their offering with Ethernet broadband services over their current network to their business customers. Actelis Networks is a worldwide leader delivering Ethernet-over-copper solutions that enable profitable, carrier-grade, broadband services using the existing copper infrastructure.
Easynet supplies high-quality broadband network services to businesses and government-related organizations across Europe. In recent deployments Easynet Netherlands chose the MetaLIGHT platform from Actelis Networks to offer 4-16 Mb/s of symmetrical Ethernet services. The MetaLIGHT will allow this service offering to increase greatly with the adoption of new spectral standards.
Infradata assisted Easynet in the design and implementation of the MetaLIGHT platform into the current Easynet network infrastructure. Easynet tested the MetaLIGHT platform and by using the built-in copper diagnostic capabilities, Easynet could easily and economically expand its broadband offering by integrating the MetaLIGHT platform into their existing infrastructure. "Infradata recommends the MetaLIGHT platforms to its customers, based on the professionalism of the Actelis Networks team and the excellent quality of the MetaLIGHT platforms," said Leon de Keijzer, managing director at Infradata. "The field-proven MetaLIGHT platforms provide our customers with superior rate, reach, and reliability over other Ethernet-over-copper solutions."
"The MetaLIGHT solution from Actelis Networks has given Easynet customers a clear, key advantage," said Joep Lecluse, Marketing Director, Easynet Nederland BV. "We are able to quickly increase our service portfolio while providing new and existing customers the speed and reliability they require to conduct business."
"Actelis Networks is proud to partner with Easynet in The Netherlands and Infradata to provide comprehensive Ethernet-over-copper solutions to the marketplace," said Ronen Peleg, Vice President of EMEA Sales for Actelis Networks. "There is a continuing demand for higher bandwidth outside of fiber networks. The standards-based MetaLIGHT Ethernet platform turns voice-grade copper pairs into a fiber-quality transport system that provides integrators and service providers with same-day deployment and a fast return on investment."
