Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc. announced today that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of shares of its common stock. It is currently anticipated that a portion of the shares of common stock to be sold in the proposed offering will be sold by Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc. and the remainder will be sold by certain selling stockholders. Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc. is an investment bank specializing in the growth sectors of the economy.
The offering is being led by Thomas Weisel Partners LLC and Goldman, Sachs & Co., acting as joint book-running managers, and Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc., acting as senior co-manager.
