e-Security's Sentinel Mainframe Connect(TM) Enables Enterprise-Wide Compliance Monitoring of Critical IT Controls
Market Wire, November, 2005
e-Security, the leading supplier of security information management and continuous compliance monitoring solutions, today announced the availability of Sentinel Mainframe Connect(TM) an add-on module to the company's flagship product, Sentinel 5. Sentinel Mainframe Connect captures security and compliance events directly from mainframe computers and correlates the information with other IT security and compliance events across the organization. Used with Sentinel 5, Sentinel Mainframe Connect provides an enterprise-wide view of critical compliance data, including data maintained on mainframe computers.
"Many organizations maintain their most critical data on mainframe and mid-range systems," said Chuck Teubner, CEO of e-Security, Inc. "With the government's and the industry's focus on data protection, organizations must be able to monitor and protect these assets and provide proof of compliance with regulatory requirements. With Sentinel Mainframe Connect, our customers are benefiting from an always-current view that continually indicates compliance health based on IT control status across the entire IT infrastructure."
"Because Sentinel Mainframe Connect provides continuous monitoring of mainframes secured by RACF, ACF2 and TopSecret, our customers are able to respond to mainframe-based security violations and/or compliance-related events more efficiently than ever before," added Dave Capuano, Vice President, Product Management of e-Security, Inc. "Unlike other security management applications, which require third-party software to collect and correlate mainframe and mid-range event data, Sentinel Mainframe Connect captures security and compliance activities directly from mainframe computers, providing a lower total cost of ownership and fewer maintenance headaches."
Sentinel Mainframe Connect is available immediately.
