TMXO has had several excellent news announcements out lately and one again after Monday's bell announcing an upgrade to next generation BPL devices for Ramada Inn and Conference Centre! This could be great news for investors!
Trimax Corporation (OTC BB: TMXO) through its wholly owned subsidiary, PLC Network Solutions, today announced that its deployment of Broadband over Powerline (BPL) at the Ramada Inn and Conference Centre in Cornwall, Ontario has been so successful that management at the Ramada have requested PLC's next generation 205 mbps broadband transmission technology.
The Ramada Inn has been using High-Speed Broadband over Powerline technology for the past year. The Ramada's BPL gateway modems and devices were originally installed through one of PLC Network Solutions technology partners. The rights to this deployment have since been acquired and transferred to PLC Network Solutions. PLC Network Solutions is pleased to have the Ramada Inn be its first client to implement its newest next generation of BPL modems and devices. PLC's new 205 mbps devices will provide Ramada guests with symmetrical upload and download speeds of 20-30 Mbps -- enough to fully exploit high bandwidth applications such as VoIP, video-on-demand and IPTV. The upgrade will take no more than a few hours.
"The Ramada Inn, Cornwall has been extremely pleased with the quality of service, speed, reliability, and the convenience factor that it has received from PLC Network Solutions and what their BPL devices have provided. We are also pleased to now be known as one of the first clients within Canada to be using the next generation of high-speed modems. Internet access has becoming a necessary hotel feature, especially for business travelers, and this exciting new technology has proven easy to administer and maintain, and even easier for hotel guests to use," stated Scott Lakey, manager of the Ramada Inn.
The original installation at the Ramada delighted management, offering its guests the speed, reliability and plug-and-play convenience of BPL internet access. PLC's BPL technology uses the existing electrical wiring to deliver broadband to network every electrical outlet throughout the hotel. This was achieved in a matter of hours instead of weeks, without the expense and disruption of tearing apart walls to run new cables. The pilot project was honored by Angus Telemanagement -- the leading source for Canadian business telecom information, with the Internet Protocol (IP) 2004 Project of the Year, which was awarded to Trytel.
Derek Pepler, President of PLC Network Solutions said: "We are very excited about Ramada becoming the first hotel in Canada with our new generation of 205 Mbps powerline technology. This technology holds great promise as a low-cost, high-bandwidth broadband solution. PLC's technology turns the existing ubiquitous power line infrastructure into a 'third wire' for delivering digital, voice and video to homes and businesses. As consumers increasingly demand economical bandwidth solutions for a range of new applications such as VOIP and IPTV, we believe there will be a trend towards the adoption of these low-cost BPL technologies worldwide."
