Storactive Figures Prominently in Report on End-Users and CDP
Market Wire, November, 2005
Storactive® Inc., the leader in continuous data protection (CDP) technology, today announced that a new analyst report points to Storactive as a favored vendor among end-users. The report by IDC, Continuous Data Protection: A First Look at End-User Awareness and Behavior, highlights Storactive's successes in the marketplace. The report shows Storactive as having the largest installed base and the largest number of current evaluations among those surveyed in the study. Over forty percent of survey respondents indicated success with or plans to use Storactive products.
"Continuous data protection technology has generated a significant level of interest among end-users, even as knowledge levels vary," said Rhoda Phillips, IDC research manager, Storage Software. "Storactive's CDP solutions are competitive, and among the storage managers surveyed by IDC, their products are some of the mostly widely used today."
"LiveBackup and LiveServ are already validated by customers in the field, and the global enterprise has a good comfort level with our solutions," said Peter Jordan, vice president of sales at Storactive. "Obviously, we are pleased with the results of IDC's research."
