QUMAS Positioned in the Visionary Quadrant for the 2005 Financial Compliance Process Management Software Magic Quadrant
Market Wire, November, 2005
QUMAS, the leading provider of integrated solutions for enterprise compliance, governance and risk management, today announced it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Visionary quadrant in the '2005 Financial Compliance Process Management (FCPM) Software Magic Quadrant' report(1). According to the report, "FCPM vendors offer solutions that automate the reporting, workflow and documentation associated with internal controls."
According to Gartner, "Visionaries have a solid understanding of the market as demonstrated by domain expertise and responsiveness to their customers' expectations. They are actively executing against an aggressive product roadmap that expands support to additional regulatory and non-regulatory compliance needs."
"The QUMAS strategy to deliver an integrated solution designed to address multiple regulatory and legal compliance demands is based on more than ten years of working with the world's most regulated industries," said Paul Hands, CEO of QUMAS. "Our strategy has seen significant traction with customers across different industry segments who recognize that compliance is an opportunity to gain control of policies, process enforcement and reporting to the benefit of wider business performance. We consider that our positioning in the Visionary quadrant is additional confirmation that more traditional, stove-piped approaches to compliance are no longer acceptable."
The report, "Magic Quadrant for Financial Compliance Process Management Software, 2005," was issued on October 24, 2005 and evaluated 18 vendors. These vendors were required to offer financial compliance process management software, defined as providing "management and operational support of compliance with corporate governance regulations and standards."
Gartner went further to define compliance management as "the process that organizes compliance activities, provides records retention, archiving and access, enables management oversight, and ensures that due diligence adherence to rules and regulations can always be substantiated."
"Financial compliance process management (FCPM) software is often one of the first solutions organizations look to when automating the compliance process," the Gartner report stated. "FCPM automates workflow and reporting around internal controls, as well as provides senior managers with insight into internal control status and corrective actions."
The QUMAS QCompliance Suite is a complete compliance framework that ensures organizations remain in a state of constant compliance while covering multiple regulations with a single solution. The QUMAS compliance solution enables organizations to initiate and maintain a sustainable compliance program that combines policy management, process enforcement, monitoring and reporting. The QCompliance Suite is architected to streamline, organize, and automate compliance-related activities on an enterprise-wide level. Additionally the QCompliance Suite is configurable, so that it can be easily adapted to handle the compliance requirements of new regulations, or changes in existing regulations.
