Tidal Software Showcases New Capabilities in Scheduling and Performance Management at the Gartner Data Center Conference

GARTNER DATA CENTER CONFERENCE -- Tidal Software, a leading provider of application scheduling and performance management software, today announced it is showcasing its latest releases of Tidal Enterprise Scheduler and Tidal Horizon(TM) for SAP in booth 74 at the Gartner Data Center Conference this week. The company will also demonstrate new capabilities in scheduling and performance with its Expert-in-a-Box technology, delivering greater levels of automation for IT Operations, faster recovery from service disruption, and dynamic optimization to meet real-time requirements for business applications.

This latest release of Horizon, v1.6, recently announced at Microsoft ITforum, features expanded Expert-in-a-Box(TM) capabilities for simplifying advanced SAP performance management, including support for SAP NetWeaver, deeper database support, dynamic job profiling, and new reports for service level metrics. The Horizon Expert-in-a-Box technology provides expert analysis of SAP alerts, reducing by over 100X the number of alerts delivered to administrators. Horizon then offers specific diagnosis and knowledge base advice to reduce mean time to repair problems from hours and days down to minutes.

At the conference, Tidal will be showcasing the expanding expertise of Horizon by demonstrating its ability to identify the specific source of a performance problem, such as a specific SQL statement, a contending workload process, or a specific transaction lock, proactively identifying problems that can ultimately result in service disruptions. This specificity, without manual intervention, means less research to determine a solution and further reduction in time to repair.
