Harte-Hanks Announces the Release of TS Quality(TM) Version 10.0, Enterprise Services Edition
Market Wire, April, 2006
Trillium Software®, a division of Harte-Hanks (NYSE: HHS) and a leading provider of Total Data Quality solutions, today announced the release of TS Quality(TM) Version 10.0, Enterprise Services Edition (ESE). Underscoring Harte-Hanks Trillium Software's vision to enable organizations to achieve Total Data Quality, TS Quality Version 10.0 ESE is engineered specifically to meet the ever-increasing demands of enterprise-strength data quality solutions.
"TS Quality Version 10.0 ESE offers the market a single product platform for completing the data discovery, profiling and quality process on a global scale," said Spencer Joyner, corporate officer and vice president, Harte-Hanks. "The foundation of TS Quality has been designed to support an organization's data quality requirements within applications across the entire enterprise and provides our customers with a trusted foundation in which to build a long-term strategy for data quality."
"Trillium Software's products are an integral part of our data quality strategy," said Keith Landau, vice president, customer relationship management, for Monster Worldwide. "Monster has had great success evolving an enterprise solution over the course of several years to meet rapidly growing business demands. We continue to execute on this strategy and feel confident that the latest version of TS Quality will contribute significant value to our business."
A Truly Global Data Quality Platform
TS Quality Version 10.0 ESE is the first data quality software solution to offer a single, Unicode-enabled product that processes both double- and single-byte data, which becomes a critically important piece of functionality as organizations increasingly serve a global economy. This allows customers to reduce their total cost of ownership (TCO) for data quality initiatives by enabling organizations to process all types of global data in multiple languages with a single product. Additionally, users can customize GUI [graphical user interface] menus, error messages, and data quality rules -- converting each or all to a local language or a language of choice.
Ease of Use and Integration
Organizations want their data-driven applications to integrate simply and effortlessly and TS Quality Version 10.0 ESE is designed to take advantage of XML [extensible mark-up language] to enable this objective, the company reports. TS Quality Version 10.0 ESE stores all metadata in XML and offers a single, open API [application programming interface] with pre-packaged interfaces and Web services capabilities for easy integration. TS Quality Version 10.0 ESE allows for close cooperation among information technology and business professionals, those who understand the data and their business purpose and have a mandate for change. Business-driven decisions by subject matter experts then can be made in the setting of a defined process for adding, updating, and reconciling rules and definitions used throughout the enterprise.
According to Harte-Hanks Trillium Software, configuration settings may be modified easily through the user interface, and also stored in XML. The features of the new interface make this release more intuitive and easier to learn and use, especially for the growing number of business users who have an active stake in the data quality process.
Real-Time Data, Right Now
As data volumes continue to increase, the ability to process information in real time is becoming mandatory for many organizations. TS Quality Version 10.0 ESE is multi-threaded which allows for simultaneous processes and supports service-oriented architectures; Web services options; and real-time connectivity with a scalable architectural solution. Additionally, resource files can be shared directly between batch and real time with no extra development requirements between environments.
