Solix Technologies Joins Google Enterprise Professional Program
Market Wire, April, 2006
Solix Technologies, a leading global provider of information lifecycle management (ILM) solutions and proponent of organized data growth, today announced it has joined the Google Enterprise Professional program, which extends the power of Google search and helps customers get more value out of their Google enterprise search deployments.
"The Google Enterprise Program will help us provide Google familiar search to users of Solix's ARCHIVEjinni, setting the stage for a new and unprecedented era of enterprise data management capabilities," said Sai Gundavelli, founder and CEO of Solix Technologies. "Solix can deliver a unified search capability across all enterprise data, whether production or archive, which holds great promise to advance the state of the art in E-discovery and Business Intelligence."
The Google Enterprise Professional program includes developers, consultants and independent software vendors that provide value-added services for Google enterprise products.
"Google is excited to have Solix as a partner in the Google Enterprise Professional program. We're looking forward to bringing the power of Google search to Solix's information lifecycle management platform, ARCHIVEjinni," said Kevin Smith, program manager for Google Enterprise Professional.
By integrating Google's advanced search and indexing techniques, Solix's next-generation unified ILM solution will enable users of the Google Search Appliance to access all kinds of enterprise data, helping customers achieve more value from their data management solutions. Enterprises will have the ability to search structured data from packaged and custom applications, semi-structured data, such as email, and un-structured data, such as documents. This integrated system will empower secure, enterprise-wide searches irrespective of the data source or whether the data is active in production systems or has been archived to an online storage repository.
"As the first ILM vendor to combine a unified ILM platform with enterprise data search, Solix has positioned itself as the visionary leader in the ILM market," said Charlie Garry, a well-respected independent industry analyst and former META Group vice president. "Let's not fool ourselves; enterprise search is the ultimate killer app for ILM. At least for me, vendors like Solix offer some hope of relief, as they not only have a unified ILM vision for the market but have designed their software from day one to eventually handle such a task."
