Oracle Validates Integration of Solix ARCHIVEjinni(TM) With Oracle(R) E-Business Suite
Market Wire, May, 2006
Solix Technologies, a leading global provider of information lifecycle management (ILM) solutions, announced that the integration of its Solix ARCHIVEjinni(TM) ILM solution with Oracle E-Business Suite applications has been validated by Oracle. Solix ARCHIVEjinni can be used for data archiving, and to reduce storage costs and meet compliance guidelines for data retention. Oracle conducted the integration testing for Solix ARCHIVEjinni as part of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) Application Integration Initiative. Solix ARCHIVEjinni becomes, one of the few unified ILM solutions validated to be integrated with the Oracle E-Business Suite. Solix ARCHIVEjinni is a comprehensive ILM solution that enables Chief Data Officers and business managers to organize, manage and search all enterprise information including structured, unstructured and semi-structured data.
"Solix has been a valued partner of Oracle for almost a decade," said Navin Chugh, vice president, Applications Partnering & Initiatives at Oracle. "Oracle E-business Suite users can be confident that Solix ARCHIVEjinni satisfies the Application Integration Initiative standards for the Oracle E-Business Suite."
Integration with Oracle extends Solix's already significant competitive advantage over storage-centric point archiving tools and provides access into Oracle's large customer base with an integrated Solix-Oracle solution that enables users to improve performance and reduce total cost of ownership.
"For our joint customers, Oracle's integration validation provides the confidence that Solix ARCHIVEjinni works seamlessly in Oracle E-Business Suite environments," said Shekhar Dasgupta, President/COO of Solix Technologies. "Customers no longer need to deploy multiple point archiving solutions for multiple data sources such as databases, Email and documents. Solix ARCHIVEjinni with its unified architecture alleviates integration headaches, improves risk management, upgrades easily as requirements grow and in so doing achieves a lower total cost of ownership for critical ILM requirements."
Solix ARCHIVEjinni in conjunction with Oracle E-Business Suite provides a unified Web-based platform for comprehensive data archiving and management that works across Oracle and other ERP platforms, email and documents. ARCHIVEjinni:
1 Selects, validates and archives data before purging using standard
Oracle purge routines.
2 In case of any error or inconsistency, stops the archiving process
and generates an error report.
3 Ensures data referential integrity in the archived instance,
eliminating the risk of data loss.
4 Improves application performance by relocating historical
transactions or other inactive data from the production database.
5 Supports simultaneous access to both archived and production data.
Additionally, Solix ARCHIVEjinni provides fast, secure and reliable e-discovery and search across all enterprise application silos and data stores.
"More and more customers are recognizing data archiving as a key strategy to manage the data growth," said Raymond Paquet, Managing Vice President at Gartner. "Enterprises should look into archiving products that offer a single comprehensive solution for managing data across all data segments (applications, Email and documents), rather than buying a point solution for each of them. This would eliminate integrating multiple archiving solutions and eventually enable organizations to provide search capabilities across all segments of enterprise data."
The Oracle Application Integration Initiative is available to Certified and Certified Advantage Partners in the Oracle PartnerNetwork and applies a rigorous technical process to validate the integrations of third-party software to Oracle Applications products. Oracle delivers expert guidance for design, development and upgrades around integration procedures, as well as extensive training in integration tools and techniques. Additionally partners taking part in this initiative have access to dedicated integration assistance teams that work with over 100 product specific integration guides and an array of online and classroom workshops. Partners with validated solutions receive expanded Oracle marketing and sales assistance as well as the "Integrated with Oracle" logo.
