Market Wire, May, 2006
UI Magic, Inc. ( www.uimagicinc.com ), an emerging wireless technology and platform services company, today announced it is working with Helio to provide members of its Helio powered by SK Telecom brand with Korean language mobile information service directly to their mobile device. Called "K-Town Info" service, this unique information pipeline provides members of Helio powered by SK Telecom a new mobile service designed specifically for the Korean-American community, with information tailored for their interests including access to local news, a golf course guide, classified ads, a directory of local businesses and more.
"We are extremely pleased to be working with Helio as a mobile content aggregator/applications developer to provide highly innovative mobile services to Helio powered by SK Telecom's Korean-American user," stated Satoru Yukie, President and CEO of UI Magic. "'K-Town Info' is abundant with information that a user wants access to in a mobile setting. With just a few clicks on a device, a user can browse through daily news, search for a nearby restaurant, or even book a tee-time at a favorite golf course," Yukie added.
Currently available free of charge for all Helio powered by SK Telecom members, "K-Town Info" service can be accessed from the mobile Internet home page. Helio powered by SK Telecom members can toss out their yellow pages and no longer have to write down the phone number for their favorite restaurant, travel agent or taxi company, as Korean-American specific information is only a few clicks away on a mobile device.
