Cistera Networks' IPT Applications Platform Selected by Canada's Concordia University
Market Wire, June, 2006
Cistera Networks Inc. (OTCBB: CNWT) the leading provider of advanced IP phone platforms and application engines in the Enterprise VoIP Telephony environment, announced today that Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, has selected the Cistera ConvergenceServer(TM) (CCS) and several of its preinstalled application engines as part of an initial deployment of a university-wide Cisco IPT solution.
Concordia University is a large urban university serving over 35,000 students from across Canada and around the world. Upon deployment of the Cistera ConvergenceServer, the university licensed two of Cistera's most popular applications: CallCenterRecord(TM) and QuickRecord(TM). "Cistera and Bell Canada brought a great deal of experience in dealing with our IP telephony application needs. They worked well together by providing a transparent partnership that offered enterprise-to-enterprise communications," said Andrew McAusland, Executive Director, Instructional and Information Technology Services (IITS). "We are currently evaluating other unique Cistera applications as a cost-effective means of providing additional comprehensive solutions."
The Cistera ConvergenceServer, with its robust suite of application engines for Cisco's CallManager and CallManagerExpress, offers customers advanced IPT applications that are easy to integrate, install and manage. The CCS adds critical competency and features such as text and audio broadcasting, messaging, recording, content streaming and two-way radio integration within Cisco and Nortel Converged Communications environments.
