Market Wire, June, 2006
IVMD, Inc., a novel medical device company (OTCBB: IVME), today announced the appointment of Damian Bond as commercial manager.
Damian's experience spans 18 years commercialising diagnostics, including Life Sciences, Consumer Marketing, Doctor's Office, Clinical, Food, and Environmental sectors on an international basis.
He has a strong technical knowledge of the underlying science across a number of technology platforms (Immunoassay, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Fluorescence, Chemiluminescence, Substrate Chemistries), and an extensive record of achievement in bringing products and technologies to market.
Additionally he brings Board-level experience in both fund-raising and running VC backed technology companies as well as turning around small established companies.
His experience was gained in companies such as Unipath (now a part of the Inverness Medical group), Tepnel Life Sciences, Trinity Biotech and International Diagnostics Group plc, before founding Platform Diagnostics to develop a novel technology for digital diagnostics.
Damian said, "I am delighted to be joining IVMD. I see a great opportunity in commercialising IVMD's large product portfolio. There are a number of products waiting for good marketing partners, and with the addition of my network and knowledge that search should be made easier. IVMD's technologies move the boundaries of Point of Care diagnostics to a new level."
John Fuller, CEO said, "Damian is a great asset to the team. With our focus now on finding commercial partners for our applications, Damian has the breadth of contacts that will help us achieve our goals. His knowledge of the immunoassay market brings a new dimension to our already developed platforms and should help us achieve commercial success."
