ASC Offers WCC's New Alaska Pre-Paid Rate Plan With Cost Savings up to 50 Percent on Iridium Satellite Phone Minutes
Market Wire, June, 2006
World Communication Center (WCC), a primary Iridium Satellite service provider, value-added reseller and value-added manufacturer, announced today that they will offer the new Northern Lights pre-paid minutes plan designed specifically for Iridium satellite phone users in Alaska during the summer season. The plan includes 200 minutes at the extraordinarily competitive rate of 75 cents per minute, which is up to half-off the regular price . WCC is a primary satellite communication services provider for 700 Alaskan customers including the state of Alaska, government agencies and private users.
WCC's largest Alaskan dealer, Anchorage-based Alaska Satellite Communications (ASC), immediately jumped on the opportunity to offer the plan to their customers. ASC and other local WCC distributors are working to ensure that sufficient supplies of satellite phones, data devices and accessories are available for sale or rent during the highly active summer months, when outdoor enthusiasts travel beyond the reach of cellular networks and landline telephones.
According to Teri Petram of ASC, "The flexible, pre-paid 200-minute plan offers tremendous cost savings for users who make calls from Alaska or Canada. The plan is unique because users have six months to meet their seasonal needs and any unused minutes roll over if the plan is renewed before the expiration date."
WCC's Northern Lights Plan's total price is $150.00 for 200 minutes, plus a $50.00 activation fee. To purchase a plan or obtain additional information, contact Teri Petram, ASC, at 907.868.1782 or visit www.alaskasatellitecommunications.com .
