QAS Selects Boston Software Systems to Advance Revenue Cycle Management
Market Wire, June, 2006
Boston Software Systems(TM), the leader in workflow automation technology to the healthcare market, today announced that it has partnered with QAS, an Experian® company. Under the agreement, QAS will use Boston Software Systems' technology, Boston WorkStation(TM) to integrate its product, QuickAddress Pro, with existing hospital information systems to ensure the collection and transfer of precise patient address information.
Accurate patient data is crucial to accurately managing the revenue cycle in hospitals. QuickAddress Pro instantly validates any address against the latest U.S. Postal Service® address data file, ensuring that correct patient address information is entered into the database. Boston WorkStation's integration enables QuickAddress Pro to enter this data directly into MEDITECH hospital information systems. QuickAddress Pro is integrated into two solutions: MEDITECH Magic and MEDITECH Client Server using Boston WorkStation. The two integrations provide solutions that serve the majority of MEDITECH hospital sites.
"Hospitals should no longer accept inaccurate patient addresses, and the resulting mis-sent bills, as the cost of doing business," said Joel Curry, vice president of business development, QAS. "Adding QuickAddress Pro to MEDITECH installations enables hospitals to dramatically increase revenues simply by ensuring that patient bills are sent to accurate addresses on time, the first time."
"Boston WorkStation has a proven track record of helping healthcare organizations improve revenue cycle management through workflow automation," said Steve Cohen, executive vice president, Boston Software Systems. "By integrating Boston WorkStation, QAS is able to extend its address verification solution directly into MEDITECH to reduce errors in the billing process, allowing hospitals to reduce outstanding debt, advance revenue cycle efficiency and improve productivity in the back office."
