Elluminate and California K-12 High Speed Network Partner to Improve Online Content Delivery

Elluminate, Inc., a leading provider of live eLearning and web collaboration solutions for the real-time organization, and the California K-12 High Speed Network (K12HSN or the Network), a statewide program that provides network services and content coordination to schools, announced today that Elluminate has been selected to participate in a K12HSN pilot program. The Content Delivery Pilot Program will develop and test a structured process by which content can be organized, selected and delivered with greater reliability and at reduced cost to any of the 8,000 K-12 schools throughout the state.

Currently, many resources accessed by California schools require users to leave the Network to reach specific content. This reliance on the public Internet is less reliable and results in added costs to both the K12HSN and content providers. During the pilot program, the K12HSN will collaborate with Elluminate and others to move content onto the Network to optimize resources, increase reliability, decrease costs, and improve student outcomes. As part of the pilot program, Elluminate Live!® Academic Edition(TM) will be certified to be "optimized for the K-12 High Speed Network" as an approved K-12 resource for teaching and learning.
