Market Wire, July, 2006
Westbrook Technologies, a leader in enterprise document management software for the mid-market, recently announced that of the Company's channel partner InfiNet Business Systems and State Bank of Long Island were honored in an award competition at the AIIM 2006 Conference. The AIIM Conference is the premier enterprise and document management event, which was held in Philadelphia from May 16-18.
The third annual I3 Awards, cosponsored by Advanstar's AIIM 2006 and Integrated Solutions magazine, recognized end users for document management technology installations that are innovative, integrate multiple technologies and inspire others.
State Bank of Long Island uses Westbrook's Fortis software for their document management needs and was selected for the Integrated Solutions magazine I-cubed award for best content management installation for compliance. The bank is one of the largest independent commercial banks on Long Island with assets exceeding $1.5 billion. The bank specializes in meeting the financial needs of the commercial, small business, municipal and consumer markets.
State Bank was looking for a document management solution that would assist in meeting the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. In addition, the bank achieved other significant business metrics with the use of Fortis:
-- Savings of approximately $35,000 per year in office space costs and
hundreds of hours of staff time previously spent filing and retrieving
-- Elimination of hard copy and shadow files
-- Space for four or five more work stations
-- Lenders and credit analysts can access files securely from their
headquarters desktop PCs as well as in remote lending locations with Fortis
PowerWeb
-- Disaster recovery planning
-- Scanning of over 20,000 credit documents (100,000 pages) since
September 2005
"This recognition of State Bank's innovative use of Fortis will hopefully educate and inspire other financial institutions, as well as other organizations, to streamline their business processes," said Mitchell Hallock, director of marketing for Westbrook Technologies.
