Market Wire, August, 2006
Loffler Professional Services (LPS), the technology integration division of Loffler Companies, announced today the availability of the Stellent Connector for eCopy ShareScan® OP (Open Platform). The new application Connector allows users to bridge the gap between paper and digital workflows with one simple touch of a button. It leverages the open architecture of Stellent® Universal Content Management(TM) software for seamless connectivity, allowing eCopy ShareScan OP users with a network attached copier or scanner to send scanned documents effortlessly to their Stellent Universal Content Management system.
eCopy ShareScan OP works with an office copier or scanner to transform full-color or black and white paper documents into electronic images. With the Stellent Connector for eCopy ShareScan OP, users simply select the "Stellent" button on the eCopy touch screen, and scanned images are distributed to the Stellent system. Once documents are inside the Stellent database, users can securely retrieve all their business critical documents in seconds, making information decisions based on the latest, comprehensive data.
"Our close partnership with eCopy and Stellent allowed LPS to develop this unique and valuable Connector to meet the diverse needs of Stellent clients," said Jeff King, LPS Product Development Manager. "As a result, the Stellent Connector for eCopy ShareScan OP has extended the value of the Stellent Universal Content Management system, allowing eCopy users to easily scan documents directly into the Stellent document repository. This integration further differentiates the Stellent solution and provides significant value to their customers."
The eCopy Suite enables any organization to transform paper documents into information that is easily integrated into commonly used business applications. Using eCopy products, companies can provide open access to scanning from the office copier or scanner that connects to the company's email, fax, document management system, and other networked enterprise applications for low-cost, easy, instantaneous distribution and management of digital copies of paper documents.
Alan Baer, Product Marketing Manager for Stellent, said, "The Stellent Connector for eCopy offers an exceptionally easy way for customers to create and check electronic images into Stellent Content Server. This Connector can help customers make even more extensive use of their Stellent Universal Content Management systems."
According to Vickie Malis, eCopy Vice President of Marketing, "LPS first saw how integration with eCopy could be advantageous for their customers and help grow their business when they created the Worldox Connector for eCopy ShareScan OP. As with the Worldox Connector, LPS has successfully integrated eCopy with a world-class content management system using our easy-to-use software developers kit. Now, office workers can use any eCopy supported office copier to easily incorporate paper-based information into the Stellent system."
