OneNeck IT Services and Targus Group International Announce Contract Extension
Market Wire, September, 2006
OneNeck IT Services Corporation announced today a contract extension with Targus Group International , the leading global supplier of mobile computing cases and accessories. The renewed, multi-year contract marks the third renewal in the Targus/OneNeck relationship since it began in 1997.
The contract calls for the continuation of complete, 24x7 management of Targus' global Baan enterprise systems infrastructure. This includes enterprise resource planning (ERP), electronic data interchange (EDI) and the logistics systems that support Targus' finance, distribution and manufacturing processes throughout North America, Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Targus selected OneNeck in 1997 because of its mid-market focus, ERP software and implementation expertise. As part of its globalization strategy, Targus was able to centralize management of its IT environment without creating a traditional, in-house IT department.
"Renewing the contract with OneNeck was a natural step; OneNeck has become an extension of our business," said Mark See, CIO, Targus Group International. "Nine years ago, we didn't have a comprehensive IT infrastructure. Today, with OneNeck's help, we have a scalable IT environment that is centrally managed and serves as the foundation for our global communications, supply chain and financial systems."
"Targus and OneNeck have a history of growing together, as Targus was OneNeck's first customer when we opened our doors in 1997," said OneNeck CEO Chuck Vermillion. "At OneNeck, our customer philosophy is once we have a customer, we have them for life -- our continued relationship with Targus as its total solution provider is a testament to that."
