International Datacasting Corporation Launches New Hybrid DVB-S & DVB-S2 Products for IPTV, HDTV and Digital Cinema

International Datacasting Corporation (TSX: IDC), a world leader in multimedia data distribution via satellite announced today the unveiling of their next-generation of hybrid DVB-S & DVB-S2 product suite with MPEG-4 AVC and MPEG-4 HE-AAC for high speed distribution for IPTV, HDTV, Digital Cinema and enhanced IP services. The new product launch will be featured at the upcoming IBC exhibition at the RAI Congress Centre in Amsterdam on September 8 -12, 2006 (Stand 1.330).

The new product suite is part of IDC's new SuperFlex(TM) SFX3101 series-featuring IDC's Pro Audio and Pro Video product lines that consist of new high performance satellite receivers, routers and integrated Datacast XD(TM) file and stream Content Distribution and Management software. This feature-rich DVB-S and DVB-S2 product series is a high performance end-to-end audio solution that is ideal for demanding broadband applications such as; IPTV, Digital Cinema, MPEG-4/H.264 HDTV distribution, file distribution for syndicated television applications and more.

Highlights of IDC's SuperFlex(TM) DVB-S & DVB-S2 product suite include:


 - Ideal for IPTV and HDTV applications-IDC will showcase dynamic
   product enhancements with its new Pro Video HD/SD Satellite
   receiver with an internal MPEG-4 AVC/ H.264 video decoder
   featuring HD and SD in one receiver and multiple analog and
   digital inputs/outputs including HD-SDI with embedded multichannel
   digital audio.

 - For professional radio broadcast networks-IDC's SFX3103 Pro Audio
   with standard definition MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC compression
   technology is available in a professional DVB audio receiver with
   integrated Datacast XD for multimedia file transfer, streaming and
   content distribution and offers live IP audio decoding and time
   shift audio file playout features.

 - For high performance network connectivity and router
   functionality-IDC's SFX3101R provides the power and flexibility to
   meet the demand for state-of-the-art network applications such as;
   Digital Cinema, Digital Signage, computer-based training,
   financial and news distribution and virtual private networks
   (VPN's). Includes IDC's Datacast XD file and streaming content
   delivery software client.

With the recent increase and demand for HD content capabilities IDC's launch of their latest DVB-S/S2 products suite will now offer the combined benefits of MPEG-4 Advanced Video Codec (AVC) and DVB-S2 for cost-saving satellite transmission rates using reduced bandwidth capacity and drastically cutting operating costs by close to 50%. Operators will also be able to add additional content such as interactive video, audio streaming and HDTV channels on their existing infrastructure using the most efficient means of transmission available. Northern Sky Research, an industry analyst firm, estimates revenues for the market for DVB-S2 compliant equipment is expected to reach $1.3 billion by 2009.

PROFline will introduce their new digital audio satellite receiver. The new TRA receiver utilizes MPEG-4 HE-AAC audio coding to maximize audio performance and minimal bitrates to deliver better economics to radio networks. Features include an RDS data channel, AES/EBU audio output and compatibility with SCPC and MCPC DVB systems.
