Reese Witherspoon, Nancy O'Dell & Patti LaBelle Lend Their Star Power to Munchkin(R) to Help Fight Breast Cancer

Market Wire, September, 2006

From GRAMMY® winners to Academy Award® winners, major celebrities are mobilizing to tell Americans "Don't Duck a Breast Exam." As part of its Project Pink breast cancer support campaign, Munchkin -- maker of award-winning infant and toddler products -- created a limited edition pink bath duck to be sold online and at major retailers, with proceeds benefiting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.* Munchkin also secured numerous celebrities to lend their names and artistic talents to help raise money to fight breast cancer by decorating the Project Pink ducks. Visit www.ebay.com/projectpink for a sneak peek at these unique celebrity-decorated ducks, which will be listed in a charity auction on eBay beginning October 1 and will be available for bid until October 30 during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 100% of the proceeds from the auction of celebrity-decorated ducks will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

With one out of every eight U.S. women facing breast cancer in her lifetime, Munchkin found a creative way to encourage women across the country to give their family and friends a reminder not to duck a breast exam. To heighten awareness and raise additional funds to fight breast cancer, Munchkin tapped into star power to make these pink ducks hot commodities on eBay. Participating celebrities include Emmy Award winner Allison Janney; GRAMMY Award winner Patti LaBelle; Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon; Golden Globe winner Martin Sheen; Stacy Keibler ("Dancing With The Stars"); Nancy O'Dell ("Access Hollywood"); Cheryl Hines ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") and former First Lady Barbara Bush.

"Project Pink reflects our philosophy that it's the little things that often make the biggest difference," said Doug Gillespie, Vice President, Marketing of Munchkin, Inc. "A small reminder like our pink ducks helps get the message of early detection out to women who can take an important step toward prevention of this terrible disease. And we are especially grateful to all of the celebrities who have lent their support to the fight against breast cancer."

Consumers can go to www.munchkin.com and check out the Project Pink mini-site. On the site, consumers can share tips, stories, and memories that might be helpful to mothers raising young children while battling breast cancer. Families also have the opportunity to win an all-expense-paid family vacation to Los Angeles to participate in the Komen Race for the Cure® on Feb. 25, 2007, alongside the Munchkin team. Pink ducks are available for sale now at munchkin.com and at major retailers nationwide.

*Munchkin will donate to the Komen Foundation a minimum of $.20 or 100% of net proceeds (whichever is greater) for each non-celebrity-decorated pink duck sold, from June 1, 2006 through November 30, 2006, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $10,000.
