eStara CEO John Federman to Participate in Web 2.0 Technology Panel at Shop.org's 'Online Retail Boot Camp'
Market Wire, October, 2006
Who: John Federman, CEO, eStara
What: With the explosion of Web 2.0 tools for e-commerce, retailers
are attempting to weed through the hype to discern what solutions
make sense for their business. Shop.org's Online Retail Boot
Camp, which is being held on October 10th in New York, is
designed to provide actionable information for online retailers
who want to learn about the latest technology advancements that
will help differentiate their site from their competition.
During the panel entitled "Web 2.0: A Peek at What's Here and
What's Coming - Part 1," John Federman will discuss the rising
prominence of new technologies, like proactive conversion
solutions, such as click to call and click to chat, which are
driving the evolution of online retailing from what was once a
purely self-serve medium to one that encourages communication
and collaboration between buyers and sellers.
Additionally, Federman will highlight how online retailers can
implement these technologies within their multichannel marketing
strategies to reach out to customers at key points in the sales
cycle -- the equivalent of an in-store salesperson approaching
and assisting a would-be buyer.
"Even as consumers become increasingly technology-savvy, many
still rely on customer service representatives as the leading
means to acquire information about products," said Federman.
"Click to call and click to chat are proven solutions that
increase online sales conversions, and improve consumer loyalty."
When: Tuesday, October 10, 2006
