Sneak Preview of Inecom Entertainment's "Blood and Oil - The Middle East in World War I" to Premiere Exclusively on Movielink

Market Wire, November, 2006

Inecom Entertainment Company, a producer and distributor of documentary and instructional films, and Movielink® ( www.movielink.com ), the leading U.S. broadband video-on-demand (VOD) download service, announced today an exclusive release of "Blood and Oil - The Middle East in World War I" on the Movielink service, a film that examines the devastating conflict and Western political intrigue that laid the foundation for wars, coups, revolts and military interventions in the Middle East. Starting November 2, Movielink users can download the controversial film for $3.75 to rent or $17.99 to purchase before its worldwide release on December 5.

This feature-length documentary film follows conflict from the Ottoman Empire's entry into the Great War in October 1914 to the Allied victory and declaration of the new Turkish Republic in 1923, and the hostilities that have plagued the region since. The doc details the battles, military and political, showing how Western powers dominated the Middle East driven by greed without much regard for the region's people, history, culture, religion and ethnicity. The film reveals two important lessons: that the Treaty of Versailles paved the way for military and political chaos in the Middle East, which continues to this very day; and that oil reserves in the Middle East became an important strategic concern for Western Powers, helping to justify their economic, diplomatic and military interference in the region.
