InfoSearch Media Debuts Strategy Focused on Content; Signals Improving Financial Results
Market Wire, November, 2006
InfoSearch Media, Inc. (OTCBB: ISHM), a leading online media and search marketing firm, today announced that it has released an updated corporate presentation detailing its increased focus on a broadened product line of content and content-based online marketing solutions. The new presentation, which can be found at http://infosearchmedia.com , reflects the state of the business after InfoSearch's sale of Answerbag.com to Demand Media.
"While we saw long-term promise in Answerbag, it was a small portion of our revenues and would have required considerable investment to bring to fruition in the changing competitive landscape. On the other hand, we see a ripe opportunity to supply the on-line content needs of larger companies and content publishers who are not satisfied with the limitations of simply re-purposing off-line content. Through our ContentLogic product, which currently comprises 95% of our revenue, we are providing these larger companies and publishers with 'smart-content' -- key-phrase targeted -- which also drives ranking and traffic. Based on these market trends and interest from large corporate customers for smart content, the decision to divest our Answerbag asset became clear," stated George Lichter, President and CEO of InfoSearch. "With the sale of Answerbag to Demand Media, we strengthened our balance sheet, gained a large corporate customer and reduced our expenses, all of which we expect will translate to significant improvements in our bottom line and our path to profitability, starting with our upcoming third quarter earnings report," he concluded.
