EnterpriseDB Customer Wins and High-Profile Advertising Campaign Punctuate Record Quarter

EnterpriseDB, the world's leading enterprise open source database company, today announced its third quarter 2006 results. The quarter was the company's best ever, both in terms of revenue and new customers. EnterpriseDB added more than 50 customers in the first three quarters of 2006, including Agri Stats, Atomogy, Proxicom, Sony Online Entertainment, Sun Microsystems, and xPrima. In the first three quarters of 2006, more than fifty new customers selected EnterpriseDB. The company also announced additions to its executive team, new offices, and a high-profile advertising campaign targeting enterprises using Oracle.

Advertising Campaign Highlights LinuxWorld Awards
EnterpriseDB launched its first national print media advertising campaign in the third quarter of 2006, targeting enterprises using or considering Oracle. The advertisements, viewable at www.WeBeatOracleAgain.com , ran in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and InfoWorld with the headline "EnterpriseDB Beats Oracle. Again." The ads highlighted that, for the second consecutive year, EnterpriseDB was named "Best Database Solution" at LinuxWorld San Francisco, the industry's premier open source conference.
New Marketing, HR Leadership
EnterpriseDB announced today that Helen Donnelly has joined as its senior vice president, marketing. Prior to joining EnterpriseDB, Helen was the principal at Meritage Marketing Group, a strategic marketing consultancy whose clients included Lumeta, Managed Objects, Insight Venture Partners, webMethods, and Digital Harbor. Prior to founding Meritage, Helen held executive marketing roles in companies ranging from startups to market powers, including Ingres, Computer Associates, Managed Objects, and Staffware (now TIBCO). Helen graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in computer science.
In addition, Philip Weber has joined EnterpriseDB as its vice president, human resources. Prior to joining EnterpriseDB, Philip ran Plectrum HR, a human resources outsourcing company that he recently sold. Prior to founding Plectrum, Philip held executive human resources roles at Seer Technologies, Giga Information Group, Vanstar Corp., and Entrust Inc. Philip is an adjunct faculty member at Marymount College, Bentley College, and Farleigh Dickinson University. He holds bachelor's degrees from Dartmouth in English and computer science, and he received an MBA from Wharton.
Additional Offices
Finally, EnterpriseDB announced that it has expanded its sales presence with the opening of offices in Silicon Valley and Toronto, addressing the heightened demand in those markets. This adds to the company's presence in Iselin, N.J.; Islamabad, Pakistan; Pune, India; and Oxford, England. EnterpriseDB also maintains sales offices in Boston, Atlanta, and Chicago.
