Cartesis Announces Support for 2007 Microsoft Office System and Windows Vista
Market Wire, November, 2006
Cartesis, the world's leading specialist in finance and performance management software, today announced support for the 2007 Microsoft® Office system and Windows Vista. Cartesis currently leverages Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager, Microsoft Office Desktop applications and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 while providing flexible, highly scalable financial consolidation, reporting, planning, budgeting, forecasting and analytic applications.
"Our customers come to us to better manage the performance of their business while making highly complex financial processes simpler," says Crispin Read, CMO of Cartesis. "Working closely with Microsoft and integrating their technology into our solutions, we can provide the most up to date performance management applications with the lowest TCO."
New and improved applications in the 2007 Microsoft Office system will help people create content and prioritize their time so they can get better results faster. Cartesis customers are particularly interested in Microsoft Office Excel 2007, which will include tighter security and an improved interface. The Cartesis 10 performance management suite allows users to work in the familiar Office Excel 2007 environment, integrating tightly on the back-end to insure the security and auditibility of the information within Cartesis' Integrated Data Model.
Additionally, Cartesis customers will be impressed with new features in Windows Vista, which delivers a security-enhanced platform that connects mobile and remote users to the people, information and applications that are important to their jobs. Cartesis customers, the financial executives running some of the world's largest companies, continually work with confidential data and multiple layers of security are required to protect the confidentiality and integrity of that data. Windows Vista can be an important link in that process.
"Cartesis is an innovative developer of solutions on Microsoft SQL Server 2005, having chosen it over competing multidimensional databases," said Rob Bernard, general manager, Worldwide ISV Group, Microsoft. "The release of the 2007 Microsoft Office system will further benefit our joint customers with improved user experiences by enabling Cartesis to continue to develop high quality solutions on top of improved collaboration, enterprise content management, enterprise project management, enterprise search and business intelligence capabilities."
