Market Wire, December, 2006

The Matt Savage Trio will appear on NBC's "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" on Tuesday, December 12 in support of their new album, "Quantum Leap." The Trio will perform "Curacao," one of the eleven original songs, written and composed for "Quantum Leap" by jazz prodigy, Matt Savage. "Quantum Leap," released in September, is the fifth CD by The Matt Savage Trio, seventh album by Savage, and the first to receive nationwide retail and international distribution via Palmetto Records (MRI/RED). The November issues of Jazziz and JazzTimes both feature excellent reviews of "Quantum Leap." Praising Matt's talent, Jazziz says, "as always his amazing technique shines." JazzTimes describes Savage sounding like a "schooled, seasoned jazz pianist" who is "well on the way to forging an effective personal language." In October, the album received a rave review in the All Music Guide, describing it as "absolutely astonishing, refreshing and engaging."

The Matt Savage Trio will return to Manhattan on Monday, February 5th to perform at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center. This will mark the Trio's first performance at Dizzy's and it will kick-off ASCAP's "Month of Mondays" jazz showcase series. In addition, throughout the months of January and February, Borders Books and Music will be featuring "Quantum Leap" in their Listening Stations nationwide.

"Quantum Leap" can now be heard on Jazz stations across the United States. The Trio has also brought in Robert Rund as an artist consultant for touring. He will handle the Matt Savage Trio's bookings in North America, with dates to include performing arts centers and festivals, as well as traditional jazz venues. Rund has worked with many internationally renowned artists and ensembles in both the jazz and classical fields. Clients have included Luciana Souza, Fred Hersch, Jubilant Sykes, Paul Winter and the Westminster Choir, among others.

"I am thrilled to be working with Matt Savage," said Rund. "In a world of talented musicians, Matt stands out as someone quite special. He has a remarkable gift, and I look forward to being part of the team that brings Matt to an even wider audience."
