Sage Software Appoints New Leader for Its Sage Payroll Services and Sage Compliance Services Businesses: Jeffrey B. Williams, MBA, CPA

Sage Software today announced the appointment of Jeffrey B. Williams, MBA, CPA, to vice president and general manager for its Sage Payroll Services and Sage Compliance Services businesses, reporting to Karl Grass, senior vice president and general manager for the company's Specialized Business Solutions. Williams' career includes leadership roles at several leading payroll-processing companies, as well as president and CEO roles at a variety of large and small companies.
"Jeffrey has an outstanding combination of experience and accomplishments that will allow us to take our payroll and compliance offerings to the next level," said Grass. "In addition to payroll industry experience, he also has over five years of experience in the candidate and pre-employment screening market. His diverse background managing sales and marketing, operations, finance, information systems, and human resources functions will serve us well as we grow our outsourced payroll and payroll compliance businesses."
Most recently, Williams served as president for Applicant Insight, Ltd., a New Port Richey, Fla.-based provider of pre-employment screening services to the North American employment market. In addition to spending several years with Paychex and ADP, he previously served as chairman of the board for Cleveland, Ohio-based Interactive Information Service, Inc., and in various executive roles in automotive information and publishing for Thomson Corporation, a leading global provider of integrated information-based solutions to business and professional customers.
Williams holds a master of business administration (MBA), Finance and Marketing, from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a bachelor of business administration (BBA), Accounting, from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He is a certified public accountant (CPA), previously active in the State of Ohio. Williams will be based in Sage Software's St. Petersburg, Fla., office.
