MerchantAdvantage Partners With National Retail Federation to Create E-Commerce Standards

Market Wire, January, 2007

MerchantAdvantage, LLC today announced its partnership and support of the National Retail Federation's ("NFR") 96th Annual Convention and Expo. MerchantAdvantage is one of the first partners, adopters, and promoters of the Association for Retail and Technology Standards ("ARTS") in the world of e-commerce. Other partners include industry experts IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, and SAP.

The ARTS standard, introduced by the NRF in coordination with Shop.org, is essential for helping all businesses large and small better market their product catalog in the ever growing online retail marketplace, by streamlining what has become a tedious, time-consuming, and costly task.

By working closely with ARTS, NRF and Shop.org, MerchantAdvantage's Channel Management application will help online merchants reduce the estimated 35% error rate of product feeds, thereby providing merchants more time to focus on selecting the right products through improved click cost information and analysis of their channel feeds.

"The new NRF/ARTS standard allows online retailers to provide highly accurate data to participating comparison shopping engines while increasing the feedback information, allowing much easier troubleshooting of the feed when problems do occur," said Michael Lambert, Co-Founder/CEO, MerchantAdvantage. "MerchantAdvantage's goal from the inception of Channel Management has been to streamline catalog feeds for online retailers. This new NRF/ARTS standard is the next logical step in the progression of product data feeds."

The rapid adoption of this new standard will:

-- Enhance XML formatted data, which contains several new market focused
    categories,
-- Allow merchants to complete data feeds quickly and accurately,
-- Lower costs associated with data feeds and trouble shooting,
-- Provide Maximum flexibility and understanding across all IT platforms,
-- Work well in the new Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) schema.

The new CSE standards can be reviewed at: http://www.nrf-arts.org/cse/cse.htm .

MerchantAdvantage will be in New York January 14 - 16 at NRF's tradeshow, working side by side with these other great companies: Access Via, Channel Intelligence, Oracle, IBM, EPSON, Microsoft, PCMS, Retail Anywhere, SAP, and Soft Solutions.

A FREE demonstration of Channel Management , integrated with Chanalytics (SM), is available to any online merchant via MerchantAdvantage.com or by calling 800.550.9466.
