Kelly Services Signs Vanco to Save 20 Percent on IT costs
Market Wire, January, 2007
Kelly Services, a Fortune 500 company and one of the world's leading providers of staffing solutions, has signed Vanco, the pioneering Virtual Network Operator (VNO) to manage its fixed lines, mobile handsets and PBX (private branch exchange) for Kelly's European sites. Vanco's managed solution is estimated to save Kelly Services 20 percent during the first year and was a reason the staffing giant turned to Vanco.
The agreement is in addition to an earlier contract finalized in July 2006 for Vanco to manage Kelly Services' pan European Wide Area Network (WAN). The value of the initial agreement was approximately $12 million, and the total contract is $26.2 million. The Vanco WAN solution includes MPLS Matrix, integrating multiple domestic MPLS provider networks, and uses ADSL and Internet VPN technology to replace the existing frame relay and leased line services.
"We were very impressed by Vanco's VNO model and its management platform O-zone, providing a network solution that is optimal for each of our country business units as well as for the whole European region collectively," says Jason Jennings, European IT Director at Kelly Services. "Vanco has helped us tremendously in delivering against our strategic objectives for IT in Europe, while the Active Negotiating Process allows us reduce our IT costs and keep up with latest technology developments."
The new converged network covers 310 sites in 16 countries across Europe, including France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the U.K.
