TradeCard Posts 48 Percent Revenue Growth in 2006
Market Wire, January, 2007
TradeCard, Inc., the leading provider of global trade products for financial and physical supply chain automation, announced today that it has achieved its fourth consecutive year of major growth based on a 48 percent increase in revenue, 24 new customer deals and more than 750 new supplier-customers added to the TradeCard Platform in 2006. TradeCard's growth was driven by new product innovation including the SourceView(TM) visibility suite, which was rapidly embraced by consumer goods and retail companies and resulted in 8 new contracts for the product since its launch in May of 2006.
New customers that signed on with TradeCard this year ranged in size from small gear bag designer OGIO to large retail and brand names Stride Rite and Perry Ellis. Other new customers include:
-- Alarmex
-- American Sporting Goods
-- Bassett Furniture
-- Carhartt
-- Goody's
-- Indiana Knitwear
-- Magnussen
-- Tweeter Home Electronics
-- Walls Industries
"Direct sourcing, private labeling and offshore manufacturing are growing trends in retail and consumer goods industries and TradeCard provides a significant opportunity for business growth though global sourcing. TradeCard helps companies improve their margin and cash flow, increase their supply chain visibility and create agile operations through our global trade platform and SourceView visibility suite," said Kurt Cavano, CEO of TradeCard, Inc. "TradeCard's holistic approach to supply chain management has been embraced and continues to gain momentum. Companies today are finding that all the elements of global trade -- cash, product and data flow -- need to be addressed as one whole picture rather than point by point."
TradeCard gained traction in key consumer product sub-vertical industries in 2006 including furniture, consumer electronics and sporting goods. Strategic banking partnerships with ICICI Bank in India and CAFTrade in Nicaragua extended TradeCard's reach into fast growing regions such as Asia and Central America.
In 2006 TradeCard was honored by its colleagues in the apparel, finance and global trade industries. Apparel Magazine selected TradeCard as the top software vendor in apparel and retail for service quality, ease of installation, ease of upgrading and ease of administration and maintenance. Global Finance Magazine named TradeCard the World's Best Online Trade Finance Provider 2006. Trade Finance Magazine named TradeCard one of its Top Four Independent Trade Platform Providers 2006.
