Market Wire, January, 2007
Mobile content technology vendor, m-Wise (OTCBB: MWIS) and emerging UK mobile and wireless services brand, Divine, announce the expansion of the text Sudoku game with leading UK daily newspaper, the SUN, part of the News International Group.
Following the successful introduction of the game with The Times a couple of months ago, the collaboration between m-Wise and Divine is now reaching the most exciting and significant UK readers segment. The Sudoku Challenge gives readers the chance to complete a Sudoku puzzle and text (using SMS) certain missing numbers to win valuable prizes that include cars, special travel and holiday packages and cash prizes.
The SUN will present the Sudoku Challenge game to its millions of readers and will offer them the chance to win prizes on a daily basis. The game will be supported by special daily promotion in the SUN newspaper including front page promotion. Readers will communicate with Sudoku Challenge through premium SMS and pay a participation fee. Revenues generated through the game are shared by the parties.
The game is another part of a series of major new initiatives in mobile and wireless that Divine and m-Wise have planned for this year bringing in a wave of truly revolutionary interactive consumer services.
Divine Group CEO, Guy Rosenhoiz comments: "We are delighted to announce this development to the game. This is part of our planning to bring exciting and involving games and services to customers. Launching the Sudoku Challenge with the Sun is a major step forward in our strategy."
Zach Sivan, m-Wise's vice president of sales and marketing, added, "We are very pleased to see this quick take off of the mobilized Sudoku challenge. The collaboration with the SUN is another great example of how much synergy there is in the interaction between traditional media and mobile services."
