eProject Named Finalist for 2007 CODiE Award
Market Wire, February, 2007
eProject, the OnDemand leader in collaborative Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) software, announced that its Project and Portfolio Management 6 (PPM6) product is a finalist for the prestigious CODiE Award given out by the Software & Information Industry Alliance (SIIA). Selected in its first year of competing, PPM6 is a finalist in the "Best Project Management Solution" category.
PPM6 represents the industry's most complete OnDemand PPM and Collaboration platform used to select, staff, track, control and manage projects across the enterprise. By automating projects from a resource management and capacity planning perspective, PPM6 introduces a new model for increased efficiency and productivity.
"The software industry is undergoing a major shift, with users demanding the simplicity of web tools like Google in their application software, along with the expectation that they can purchase and use these tools immediately -- without interference or reliance on internal IT staff," said Christian Smith, eProject vice president of sales and marketing. "We built PPM6 with these attributes in mind, and we are not surprised it has achieved explosive growth in the marketplace. With 100,000 users PPM6 has quickly become the industry standard for on-demand collaboration and project and portfolio management," continued Smith.
With more than 625 customers worldwide, eProject has emerged as an innovator in the SaaS marketplace. eProject counts Honeywell, Oakley, Amerisure Insurance and Assurant among its diverse clientele. In the past year, the company has doubled in size.
Finalists for the CODiE awards are selected by industry peers and experts who personally test each product that is nominated. The award winners will be decided by current SIIA members, making the CODiE Awards the only peer-reviewed honor in the software industry.
The CODiE awards winners will be announced on April 17, 2007 during the CODiE Awards Gala at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, California.
