Market Wire, February, 2007
Geniant, a leading IT strategy and services consulting firm, today announced that Joseph M. DePinto has joined its board of directors. DePinto is the President and CEO for 7-Eleven, the premier name and largest chain in the convenience retailing industry.
"We are honored and delighted to add Joe to Geniant's board at this time of rapid expansion for the company," said David Lancashire, Chairman and CEO, Geniant. "To continue to meet the needs of major multinational corporations, it is vital that we get feedback on how our service offerings should evolve over time. CEOs like Joe provide insight into the opportunities and threats facing multinational corporations and the factors driving their success."
"Retail leaders are always looking for ways to differentiate themselves from the competition," said Joseph DePinto. "Building a collaborative workplace that enables real-time access to in-store data is one way to be aware of the changing needs of customers. I am excited to be involved with a company that is actively addressing these types of issues."
Prior to joining 7-Eleven, DePinto was President of GameStop Corp. where he helped lead the acquisition of Electronics Boutique to create the world's largest video game and entertainment software retailer.
