DVD Authoring
What is Authoring?
During the authoring process the DVD menu and subtitles, that appear when inserting the disc, are added. A DVD-R check disc is then sent for your approval.
Technical Data
In-house Authoring Studio -- premastering is done using Sonic Solution Creator Encoderboard -- Conversion of Video material in MPEG format with constant or variable bitrate -- audio encoding is done using PCM, Dolby Digital AC3, 5.1 or DTS -- All standard input media are supported: Beta Digital, Beta SP etc.
Copy Protection
To protect your data, Global will develop its own in-house copy protection mechanism for CD Roms using a combination of software and hardware. Global will also develop a DVD-Video (DVD 5 9) copy protection mechanism to be used successfully on discs to prevent the illegal copying of DVDs.
Audiotapes
The Portable Medium
Audiotapes were developed in 1966 and have become a classic data format that is well-loved due to its robust, shatterproof design and high data capacity. Global will offer a complete manufacturing service ranging from digital premastering to duplication, loading and packaging.

DVD Production
Utmost Precision
Unlike CDs, DVDs consist of two halves which are pressed and then glued together online. A DVD has a much higher capacity than a CD and can hold up to 15 times more data. As with CDs every step of production will be checked.

Quality
Audio and Rom CDs (8cm as well as 12cm) will be manufactured to the highest quality standards. Rigorous controls throughout the production process ensure quality levels are maintained. Discs are constantly scanned and checked so that every disc is as good as the next.

With the flexibility of a hi-tech production site there will be a daily output of 1,000,000 discs.
