Converged Access Awarded Two Patents for Quality of Service and Bandwidth Management

Converged Access Inc., the leader in delivering guaranteed application performance control for converged VoIP, data and video applications, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the company U.S. patent number 7,149,222 B2 Integrated Access Point Network device and U.S. patent number 7,149,795 B2 Distributed Quality of Service (QoS) System. The patents cover quality of service techniques and the active and standby configuration for a multi-element QoS system. Both patents will be used in current and future products. These are Converged Access' six and seventh granted patents.
Converged Access' Integrated Branch Services Gateway is the industry's first platform purpose-built to deliver the application performance, WAN efficiency, security and total cost of ownership (TCO) that small offices need to bring business-critical voice, data, and video onto a converged IP WAN. Based on the company's advanced traffic management technology, the Converged Access solutions offer premium application performance with lowest TCO. Specifically, the patented technology is used to manage the performance of business-critical applications such as VoIP, Video, ERP and Citrix. The Distributed QoS patent provides scalable and high availability traffic management to provide application guarantees. The patent covers quality of service techniques in a multi-element QoS system configuration.
