Sire Recording Artists Armor For Sleep Open for Taking Back Sunday and Stop by SXSW

Sire Recording artists Armor For Sleep launch a nationwide tour this week opening for Taking Back Sunday and Underoath. The New Jersey-based post-hardcore quartet is the featured support band on the co-headlining stadium-style tour, which continues through March 17th. The shows will give fans a chance to hear new songs from Armor For Sleep's upcoming album, which is scheduled to be released in June. In addition, the band will stop by SXSW and perform at the Sire Records after-party on Thursday, March 15.

Armor For Sleep signed to Sire Records in 2006 after releasing the well-received "What To Do When You Are Dead" on independent label Equal Vision records. That album sold more than 200,000 copies and debuted at #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers and Alternative Artists Chart. The same year, Armor For Sleep were a headlining act on the Vans Warped Tour with frontman Ben Jorgensen appearing with others on the cover of Alternative Press' Warped Tour issue. They also became the #1 most viewed band on MTV.com's A to Z pages, and stayed #1 on MTVU.com for five consecutive weeks.
